Adjust under load! suitable for power converters
Do not test with an open circuit. Make sure you install/test them under load. Put a 4.7kΞ© resistor (eg) across the output when tuning, otherwise you will get odd output readings. Or, if you know what voltage you want and what current your circuit needs to draw, use R=V/I to find out what size test resistor to use. Example: you need 10V and 0.5A. R = 10V / 0.5A = 20 ohms. So you should put a 20 ohm resistor between + and - at the output to mimic your circuit when adjusting the voltage.
