Love this idea; It makes the water cooler, like a Brita jug of hot and cold water that doesn't take up space in your fridge. Water tastes great and refilling the tank every now and then is a lot easier than dealing with those heavy, heavy bottles. One star deducted due to disappointing packaging. Like other reviewers, I just couldn't separate the two halves. After reading the reviews before buying I was ready for some level of difficulty. I didn't even try to take it apart until I gave it a good soak in the sink with hot, soapy water. Even then I couldn't move. I worked on it for a week. I tried to slide a table knife between the two halves to stop the suction. I carefully poured the dish soap in between as much as possible. I used these sticky rubber things to hold on to. I stuck the table knife between the halves, grabbing the top half with tangible objects and trying to squeeze the top of the table knife so that the knife handle was pressing against the bottom half. Nothing worked. Eventually my 40 year old brother-in-law came over and tried it out. We were both ready for a healthy man in his prime to succeed where .um is. the slightly older woman failed. He couldn't separate the two halves either. Here's what finally worked: My efforts with a table knife ripped through the plastic wrapping the two halves of the tank pretty well, so my brother-in-law removed almost all of it. Some he couldn't reach, but he got all he could. He put more dish soap between the two halves. Then he used the grippers to hold the top half in place while I pulled on the bottom half. And suddenly the two halves parted. As everyone else has pointed out, it got easy from that point. This thing was easy to assemble, easy to fill and works very well. I'm happy with that. But don't be fooled into thinking that splitting the two halves is going to be easy or simple. Manufacturers really need to work on the packaging issue.
