Review on πŸ”Œ AudioQuest PQ3 - Power Conditioner & Non-Sacrificial Surge Protector Power Strip - 8 Outlets & 4 USB Charging Ports by Enrique Espinoza

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very cool extension cord

Let me first say that I am a real person who bought this unit with my own money and this review is pure honesty based on personal listening and direct comparison to Furman PST-8D. Also, I would like to say that I am a big fan of AQ, all my cables (HDMI, RCA, Digital and Power) are AQ products. There can be no hatred of AQ here. The PQ-3 is a very large, well designed, attractive machine. The sockets hold the cable pins securely, and the plastic base makes the device quite stable during use. To be honest I was a little surprised at how big the block was, but I had enough room for it. Like his looks. Electronic devices take some getting used to. In fact, the Furman Elite-15 PFi manual says it in black and white: In terms of filtering, the PQ and Furman seem to be on par with the PQ-3, starting slightly lower on the MHz scale compared to the PST -8D. The PST-8D has a "zero ground" feature that the PQ-3 does not have. AQ places a strong emphasis on "zero bottom" as a key feature of the much more expensive Niagara 1000. Just food for thought. I'd be lying if I said I know what this actually means for better sound quality, but it's quite remarkable to me that I have a $999 device and a $175 device with a similar function . The sound quality of the PQ-3 was surpassed. PST-8D, but PQ-3 was much better than plugging directly into an outlet without any filtering. In terms of TV picture quality, the PQ-3 darkens the overall picture. So yes, the blacks were blacker with the PQ-3, but so was everything else. While games with PQ-3 graphics lost the sharpness, brightness and general smoothness that the PST-8D had at the top. expensive, but the Furman PST-8D does its job well. At least that's how it was on my system. How do you spell "YMMV" ;) At least that's how it was on my system. How do you spell "YMMV" ;) At least that's how it was on my system.
