This product is amazing! I have an old version of this car mount and it worked fine so I bought an updated one to see how well it works. The upgraded one holds the phone much better since its suction cup is bigger; So it stays firmly on the dashboard. It's also perfect for a textured dashboard. The panel has a quiet different look with a more attractive appearance. In addition, it is made of carbon fiber, so it does not foam even in high heat. I was driving in California in sunny weather and my phone didn't get very hot! I was nervous that the car mount wouldn't be able to hold my phone because it had a case which means extra weight. But it actually worked! It also holds up well on bumpy, rocky roads. It is very easy to install and move the car mount when you need to reposition it because the suction cup is reusable. Overall, I can recommend this product without reservation!
