Review on 🦅 Hawk HB430F.547 HPS Ceramic Brake Pad for Enhanced Performance by Ulysses Fincher

I installed a set of these Hawk HPS brake pads on the front of my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. I decided to replace the perfectly fine OEM pads due to the soft brake feel, disgraceful braking performance, terrible braking performance in the cold, wet and lots of brake dust. These pillows are like night and day! After lapping, my brakes are responsive, predictable and have a lot more stopping power. Finally I feel safe when I drive vigorously. After installing, lapping and testing these pads I later drained the brake fluid which also resulted in an additional (but marginal) improvement in brake feel which really tells me that these pads are (finally) giving me great brake performance, that I demand in a sports sedan. I'm giving this 4 stars because I'm not thrilled that the pads taper so much at either end. This appears to be that by the time the pad wears out, 70% of the pad is actually touching the rotor. I would have liked more pads on the rotor but these pads are amazing nonetheless! I am not a paid sponsor and did not purchase them from Revain.com.
