As someone with little experience with binoculars I was looking for an inexpensive pair for occasional bird watching and hiking. Overall I'm very happy with these binoculars, although there are a few issues that seem to cost only a few dollars to fix and would easily justify a slight price hike. Please remember that my review was written from the point of view of a novice user, so I'd read elsewhere if you're looking for comments on technical details and specs. Pros: Great bang for your buck. The binoculars don't look cheap like I imagined. Instead, they feel solid, like they could be bumped around a bit without causing any problems. They offer a clear view of the birds from quite a distance and I find them comfortable for us with or without glasses. It's also very easy to quickly focus on objects, especially once you get a feel for how they work. Cons: The strap that comes with the binoculars is terrible and broke after only a few uses due to wear and tear. It looks cheap. I ended up spending a few bucks on a better camera/binocular strap that was well worth it. Lens caps are also too loose and keep falling off on their own almost every time I take them out of their case too. Finally, the body feels cheap, although it's reasonable given the price and reliability of the binoculars themselves.
