Ideal for bird watching

Lately I've been enjoying hiking and spotting new birds. After some research I decided on them. I'm so glad I did. These are not small pocket binoculars, they are heavier but not so much that you will notice them anywhere except on a day hike. I didn't have the blurring issues as some of the other posters have suggested. They are strong and well made. Feel the strength in your hands. If you like bird watching I highly recommend this. They outperform my poultry friends' $150 binoculars.

Pros
  • Multi-coated optics for excellent results
Cons
  • Very expensive

Reliable first pair but with some issues.

As someone with little experience with binoculars I was looking for an inexpensive pair for occasional bird watching and hiking. Overall I'm very happy with these binoculars, although there are a few issues that seem to cost only a few dollars to fix and would easily justify a slight price hike. Please remember that my review was written from the point of view of a novice user, so I'd read elsewhere if you're looking for comments on technical details and specs. Pros: Great bang for your buck…

Pros
  • Inverted porro prism design making binoculars more compact
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

$40 binoculars right?

A bit long but informative. Bear with me. Another reviewer based his entire review on the existence of blue and, to me, a tint of blue. They should have delved a little deeper or called Barska first before jumping up and down and whining about it, which I'll explain in a moment is a small artifact common to this design. This tint is caused by additional coatings applied to binoculars that are primarily used in daylight to filter out UV radiation. This increases the contrast. Let's see what is…

Pros
  • Sport: Hunting
Cons
  • Only available in black
