Oops, I screwed up this time. Even with experience in mechanical design I didn't properly look at the problem. If drafts are coming through outlets, I suggest you first find the source of the draft, e.g. B. Inadequate wall insulation, a break, gap or hole in the building's outer cladding. When electrical outlets are designed, not the slightest effort is made to stop the flow of air through them, so you will encounter a very large number of small holes on every outlet. Solutions: 1. You can try installing a sponge gasket under the outlet cap and then using a non-permanent faucet on unused containers. 2. Remove the socket and try to seal the box with sealant (not an easy task). Also, and this isn't part of any electrical rules, I found it quite effective to put some plastic products in a glass box as a makeshift barrier. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE POWER TO ANY WORKING SOCKET FIRST!
