Failed to load media. I've used another that uses a short 3" diameter plastic tubing and I've always disliked having to reach my entire 55g tall arm just to hit the ground! After 10 years of use it finally broke, so I could justify buying a new one! I bought this and am absolutely delighted. It's very easy. I just connect both hoses together, touch the bottom of the tank (24 inches) and just inflate 4-5 pumps and fire! I pushed the tip into the substrate and immediately pulled out the ditritus. Substrate from bottom inch of tube only twice! I love that it doesn't pull out a lot of water so I can actually clean the entire substrate in one go! The other pulled the water out so quickly that I was never able to clean the entire floor at once. I even split the hoses and used it to clean my little 5 gallons! I highly recommend it! I'm so happy with it and don't have to put my hands in the tank which is so much healthier for my 8 year old angels! Feel free to get it!
