This item works great. For those who have used this electronic defrost timer and seem to be "stuck in the defrost cycle", you need to ensure that your refrigerator provides a "permanent" neutral from the defrost heater circuit. Some refrigerators will interrupt the neutral supply to the defrost timer "motor" (switch on the evaporator coil) when the evaporator temperature sensor reaches sufficient "heat". This puts this block (according to its instructions if you read them) into a constant cycle of DEFROST-START START START. The old "Clock Engine" style defrost timer is immune to this quirk. As stated in the instructions, if the timer is in DEFROST mode and power is removed, the timer will restart at the start of another DEFROST cycle, resulting in an undesirable infinite cycle. Set it to "permanent" neutral and you'll "race" happily. Works perfectly. I like the "adjustability" of both the "frequency" and duration of the defrost cycle to suit the personality of the individual refrigerator.
