Just received today. I live in an apartment with limited space for things like laundry baskets so I needed something foldable. I had a white plastic fold-over bag that I really liked, but I gave it to a friend in need. When I wanted to replace the one I was selling I started looking for alternatives that were lighter which was the main reason I bought the item. Then its capacity and finally the color (I love turquoise/turquoise colors). Yes, this article is checked by all my flags. But now that I have it I have a reservation about the quality of the item. It appears to be a well-made, high-quality product with top-notch materials and workmanship. I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 out of concern about durability: The stretch mechanism hidden in the fabric on the left and right narrow side, which allows the item to be folded up, seems to be of questionable quality. Imagine in your mind's eye that there is a vertical support built into the narrow sides of this object that holds the object in a vertical position when extended. There is a hinge in the middle of these internal supports that allows them to be folded in half - hence the folding design. What worries me is the hinge mechanism itself. While not visible, it can definitely be heard when opening or closing the holder, as each maneuver results in a LOUD click as the hinge locks or unlocks in position. That sound and the feel of that clicking gives my ears and hands the perception of a mechanism that might not be in the equation in the long run. In other words, it sounds and feels a little tinny or cheap, leaving me with the feeling that if there's a "weak link in the chain" it will be this loop. And if the locking mechanism in the loop fails, then it becomes nothing more than a premium frameless bag that will fall to the ground like any other canvas frameless bag when you let go of the handles. But other than that, I would otherwise rate this as a 5 star product. Whether this is an item that will survive multiple openings and closings remains to be seen. As in everything. The time will show. A few notable positive observations before closing: I have a stackable washer-dryer, as do many apartment dwellers, and I have to say I love how the height of the unit matches the size. ideal under the opening of the dryer when it is placed on the closed lid of the washing machine (see photo). I don't know if this was achieved through careful design or just luck, but I'm happy with it nonetheless. My second positive comment is that this item is easy to store away - see 2nd photo (Yes, I know. I have a real talent for pointing out the obvious 😉). Pray for world peace. Have fun shopping.
