
When installing (as a starter relay on a motorcycle) I first connected the coil and checked to confirm the polarity of the coil and it worked as expected. After making sure of this, I connected the actual battery and starter. The first start of the season is jammed. which of course led to an immediate desperate attempt to disconnect the starter terminal before it damaged my starter or battery. The heater clamps burned my fingers removing the nuts, but it had to be done. After all that I tested it again (disconnected from the battery) and it worked fine many times. So I tested it again but this time by simply holding the starter wire in contact with the pliers and it worked as expected 10-12 times. Then he hung up again. and I have lost all confidence that it will do its job without risking it hanging again when my bike is being assembled and risking fire or damage to my other components. Will have to return.
