I would prefer to buy the 1/2" shank version for use on the router table but bought a set of 1/4" shanks to trim some bits with my laminate trimmer to use. So far I've used a 1/4" round on some shelves and straight 1/4" and 1/2" bits to cut some slots in the MDF board to use as a higher sliding stop for mine Use miter saw and make all clean cuts. . I have been cleaning and lubricating some saw blades so I decided to lubricate this bit set and use bearing grease at the same time. Bearings, bits and shafts looked good to me. Very nice case which my son was impressed with when it arrived.
