1989 Buick LeSabre Loves Only Junkyard ICM

I tried this item on my 1989 Buick Lesabre Limited in combination with Delco's new AC ICM. You can check the compatible parts on AC Delcos official website, they also match RockAutos parts list. I would like to note that the design of this coil is very different from the factory coil, the stock ignition is closer to the original coil. That doesn't mean this reel is bad, its physical construction is very solid! Won't break or feel cheap like a Delphi coil. I can't attest to how well this coil works. I have never been able to get my car to start with Delco's new ICM/Coil AC or new ICM/Coil Standard Ignition. The car starts and runs great with my factory ICM/Coil which I picked up from a junkyard. My original ICM/coil burned out about 3 years ago so I bought the unit from a junkyard to save money. I have decided that I want a new block, I believe that sooner or later my factory scrap block will burn out like my original factory block. I just can't get the new block to work! The engine turns over and starts, and then immediately goes out with a new block. You know it's firing power, ground, sensor data and the plug, otherwise it won't even fire. It's almost as if the ECM goes to the ICM via the control wire, it just dies. Almost as if the main computer in the car couldn't communicate with the new ICM computer. I have no check engine lights and have replaced many parts myself, the machine is easy to use. Works great on an ICM/Coil factory junkyard. I'm not saying you will have this problem, I've read many forums where people have replaced their factory units with new aftermarket units with great success. I can't find anyone on the internet who has my problem. or who can explain the problem. Even the shops don't understand that. I think my car loves the factory ICM. I refuse to dump a new coil in a factory ICM dump, that killed my original factory. Looks like I'm at the junkyard looking for a backup.
