We bought it 6 months ago and had a lot of problems with Wi-Fi. When we first called Comcast to add the device to our network we were told it was already registered to another account and unless that person had paid their bill in full I would not have been able to register! I think it would be useful to know before I buy a refurbished unit. The Wi-Fi connection was never stable and we kept calling Comcast to reset our modem remotely. In the end we gave up and sent the device back. Also FYI, this doesn't work with a VPN. My husband had to connect with an ethernet cable to use his work VPN. Our new Motorola modem supports VPN. Just something to keep in mind if you are working from home using a remote VPN.
