I made a rookie mistake and chose a product 1/3 cheaper, only got one side and had to choose a pair. Yes, they don't look harsh and heavy, but they slide very well on the factory mirror. I find that most people complain about the anchor tab being inserted and aligned. Once I figured out this misalignment, installation was easy. I later unscrewed each handle and rubbed it against the pavement to blunt the head of the mounting screw to attach the tongue and mirror. This is not strictly necessary as it is necessary to ensure that the inserted locking tab is positioned where the locking button/screw meets the shaped recessed circle. So far we've been cruising at 80 mph without worrying that these mirror extensions are less than durable. This could be our best money spent.
