If you are looking for a product that will help you angle the doorbell and allow you to easily mount it on the narrow trim of your doorway -- this is the product to buy.The trim on the door shown in the photo is about 2 inches. The mount fits perfectly and keeps the doorbell angled and still way away from the brick side and the back of the trim. The spacing is just right.There are zero concerns about the back wire being exposed as there is a good size overhang where this product was installed. Even without it, the unit does not stick out as far as other reviewers have suggested. In addition, they include a short tube to cover the wires. This is the only weakness of this product - the tube is flimsy and doesn't attach way to either side of the assembly.If needed, the tube and the wire could be easily sealed with a standard silicone seal that comes in a tube.In short, it solves the narrow trim dilemma many experience with the relatively wide and bulky Ring doorbell. It's sturdy and overall well made. The only complaint is the relatively high cost.
