Get the longer 5” wrench with offset holes

This basket strainer wrench is fine for some basket strainers, but the centered holes for the crossbar can be a problem for deeper basket strainers (like the Moen 22036 basket strainer). That’s not a problem when accessing from below, but when accessing from above the distance from the holes for the crossbar are too close to the end. You’re better off purchasing one of the 5” long basket strainer wrenches with offset holes for the crossbar.

Pros

Replaced one I lost on a job.

Cons

The sliding handle on the wrench might get stuck or jammed in one position, making it difficult to adjust and use effectively
