After I removed the air intake from my F115 outboard and removed the Vapor Separator Tank (VST), my VST filter wasn't that dirty. In fact, after spraying the carb cleaner, the old one looked cleaner than this one I bought from Revain. It's just a damn mesh, not a fancy paper filter. Clean it first. Only buy this if yours is completely out of the loop. This one is slightly cheaper than the others, probably because it's fake or recycled. I had particles on the screen right out of the box. You need a pad and the boxed pad seems to work fine. Just buy a gasket next time you clean (not replace) the VST filter.
