Beautiful and effective

After spending a week healing a pigeon that flew in through our window, I finally decided to put stickers on. I was happy to find stickers that didn't look crappy. This is our living room window and I don't want to clutter the window with garish stickers. So I was happy to find these simple and cool looking stickers. They are a bit reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright or Louis Sullivan patterns for those of you who are into design. In fact, I could see them being used in an intentionally decorative pattern on windows. In any case, they were a bit tricky to attach just because the geometry had to be straight and centered and not just randomly sticking out. I use a small T square to make sure they line up. I would recommend measuring a piece of tape and placing it in a straight line to use as a guide. You can then stick and smooth the stickers on and then remove the tape. You don't have to have the glass very wet for them to stick, just spray lightly with a fine spray bottle. Too much water makes them slip. I've found that a microfiber cloth or washcloth works better than a mop. The mop moved her too hard. Good thing; They don't actually stick to the glue, but are more like cling film so you should be able to peel them off easily. I believe based on how they refract light they will be effective. And they don't need many to work, since light propagates as it's reflected. If you have overhanging cornices, make sure you place them where sunlight can reach them. If placed too high, they will not work. I feel my many bird visitors are much safer now!
