Can grate potatoes. Who knows? If you insist on grating the potatoes, use a grater; easier to handle. If you're tired of your toast getting soggy the moment you put it on your plate, do like the Brits do and put your toast on a toast stand. My family does that. I've been using old rusty ones for many years. I thought I'd buy a new one. Give it a try, you'll never have raw toast again.
