Good box - bad dimensions

The box itself seems compact enough, but the dimensions given are inaccurate - at least not for the ones I bought. For a 3.9 x 2.8 x 1.6" box instead of 2.8", the outside width of the box is 2.6". It may be a slight deviation, but it's enough to fit the box for my make the project unusable.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Well made but beware of the size

This is a solid box but the "internal size" given is the maximum size and doesn't include the screw gussets so I couldn't use it for the project I was making bought for. The size I bought was listed as "Internal Dimensions: 224 x 144 x 82mm / 8.8" x 5.7" x 3.2" (L*W*H)" but the usable width was closer to 4.7" since the rebar is about 1/2" up each side and was only about 8" long.

Okay could be better

Overall packaging is good but I don't care how the racks are placed. It would be nice to have an additional platform to set things up. I used this to place a SPST relay, bus bar and on/off switch to control my shop lights with a garage door opener. I wired the door opener lighting circuit to the relay coil and bypassed the wall switch on the load side, now all the lights in my shop come on when the door is opened. I had to be creative installing these components in the box.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Handy for connecting an external network camera

Nice box. Uses it as a hub for IP camera connections outside the home. It's more superficial than the options available at my local Home Depot, which was fine for my application. Looks durable and weather resistant. Please excuse me for badly drilling holes for the clamps on the bottom, I did it without measuring + marking (learn from my mistake)! One star deducted because I don't have weather protection like other junction boxes I've bought, but to be honest it probably doesn't matter.

BEST PROJECT. JE!

THIS PRODUCT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! The material and construction of this box is way better than anything I've used before. I ordered one and was so pleased that I ordered another one (and plan on ordering more). The box is a bit pricey but worth it. This is a very high quality, well constructed item, made from wonderful material that drills beautifully (not sure what it is) and all the walls are definitely thicker and stronger than most. I can't imagine anyone will be disappointed with this

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good quality, airtight, easy to drill - a little pricey

Build quality seems good and I liked the design of the 6 screw holes that are completely isolated from the body so nothing works. Be careful not to allow water to enter the box through the screw holes. There are no holes on the box, which I preferred as I had to drill custom sizes. I had to drill three holes with a drill and the cuts were good with no chips or cracks, which led to some people complaining about some of the other boxes. It also comes with a waterproof rubber grommet to attach the

Excellent quality, hard wearing

I have used this junction box for 120 volt outlets and a 220 volt outlet for an RV power station. This is a sturdy weatherproof box which I used with a hole saw to drill through the cover for the 220v socket as well as the base for the 120v twistlock socket. I also cut the cover to fit the 120 volt outlet just below the 220 volt outlet. .The 220mm and 120mm jacks attach directly to the cover and the RV exit attaches to the bottom. The box is mounted vertically with mounting flanges at the top…

Carefully! Dimensions in description

I bought a 6 x 8 x 4 inch box to make an electrical junction box for a generator. I used a GreenLee puncher for duplex sockets. Durability can be an issue. Pros: Wall thickness is pretty good, measuring 3mm (just under 1/8"). Sealant is pre-loaded. Plastic lid screws hold the lid securely. Lid screws are captive. Plenty of internal screw bosses (which I haven't used) It can be messed with attached to the surface using the gussets/tabs on the lid without drilling the inside Cons: ABS…
