We have these remotes with 3 of the 5 Hunter fans we have installed. They are indispensable in most situations. They work perfectly, the battery in the hand controller has a long service life. It controls all fan functions EXCEPT for changing the direction of rotation. This is done via a switch on the fan (in different locations on different models). If you're installing a new fan, it's time to switch to a manual remote control.
