No, not that kind of tie. This is a cord that you can attach to your dog's collar and something else like a cord stand and it will keep your dog tethered and in sight. I have a 45 pound beagle/german/pit bull mix and he's the type to explore and run all the time. Well, my dog can certainly explore whatever he wants with the idiot, but escape is out of the question. With a good use, this cable will more than help when it comes to protecting your dog, which is pretty much all that matters! Be careful when rolling it up for storage though, as once it bends into shape it can look pretty crumbly!
