I took a laptop for work, namely for the development of the service part for sites. My comment will help to identify those people who will load the laptop to the maximum. What can I say if you are a backend developer, plan to use tools such as Pycharm, Docker, Slack, Skype, then you can safely take it for yourself. You are completely suitable for work and understand what it is. 8 GB will be enough for you to work, you will sometimes feel that this is an 8 GB bar, but your laptop will never freeze or slow down. If we compare roughly, before that it was 8GB + Linux. Very often and clearly there was a limitation on the RAM and that the computer sometimes had difficulty thinking. I work quietly, although almost always I have everything packed under 7.5 GB. Because of this, I can immediately say that if you have money and it’s not a pity, take it with 16GB, and then you will generally forget about the RAM and that you are missing something. I also have a version with ssd 120. Enough for work, but you dream of 200GB. All such Dockers with their images often eat up space, and therefore you have to delete images, keep track of this. - conclusion: This laptop is easy to get acquainted with macos, find out everything + and -, do not suffer on the project that there is not enough computer power, and so on. But you will have thoughts that you still want a poppy with 16GB of RAM in 3-4 months, this cannot be avoided. Although you can safely live and work with 8GB, the feeling that you have loaded it to its limit will sometimes arise. I have had a laptop for about 6 months, I have not regretted that I took it.
