I have bought 9 insect chains in the last 2 years. All are 18 watts. Silver metal dies at 2800V after 30 days. I found some good black plastic that is still in use today. I have two of these "triango3" rifles and have been waiting to write a review for 45 days. This zapper is by far the loudest, but it's also so powerful there aren't any bugs to scratch out of the grid. Both units came with a spare bulb, which I wasn't expecting. There's also a unique "wiper" underneath that scrapes bugs off the bars when needed, but I didn't use it at all. GOOD: The light is about 3 times brighter than my other 18W air purifiers. This is partly because the wire cage lets more light through than the plastic blocks, but the light also seems brighter. It brings in more bugs than my others. The grate consists of stainless steel bars (not extruded aluminium) separated by plastic parts. The bugs don't stick to the net at all. Break them into pieces. Came with an extra bulb. But I don't see it in the product description, so who knows. Long power cord compared to all other devices I have. BAD: The hanging ring is plastic. not sure if this will continue. super loud I have timers because it would be too annoying to gossip all night. In any case, most of my bug hunting happens right at sunset.
