Even with 5 volts it won't start.

This device works exactly as advertised. I thought I had a bad board then I changed the 5 volt supply to a 9 volt supply and everything snapped to life. Well built, includes handle, nut and washer for shaft. Do not reverse polarity at the input of the card (no protection). Next to the pot is a red LED that changes brightness as you adjust the power. Pros

Integrated Engine Speed Control Switch. The switch allows you to control the forward direction and stop of the DC motor.
