So a year has passed since I bought my HPA300 and it's time to buy a new filter set. I read reviews of many other aftermarket filters and became skeptical, so I turned to Honeywell for their "official" filters. Honeywell filters smelled so strongly of petrochemicals they could probably be melted down to start a car. They were sent back very quickly. Looking at reviews of other third-party filters, the biggest issue seems to be size; Many have photos of people inserting their replacement filters into the device, bending and squeezing them to fit. There was nothing like it here, so I decided to give it a try. The first thing I did was sniff her. There is no smell of oil products, the beginning is good. These filters are very tight and require little maneuvering to install; but I was able to install them without forcing anything. So no terrible smell, good fit and cheaper than OEM brand. i can't win
