I used to hate using a garlic press. It turns out I just didn't have a good garlic press. I bought this one and it has made all the difference. It is strong and sturdy, so it easily minces garlic and I don't have to peel the garlic first. I also like that it will slice garlic too. It is also easy to clean. It came in a beautiful box, so it would make a great gift for a cook or for a bridal registry.
