Not the same as my original Techmount

Purchased to replace the original phone holder as the ring broke due to my bike falling. Buyer Warning! If you have an original Techmount base (mine is only 3 years old) this item is NOT original and will not fit. Either fake or changed manufacturer. It doesn't fit my original Techmount base at all, the turnbuckle won't tighten and the socket on the mount itself is too big for the original Techmount base. The original Techmount ring I broke was hard phenolic plastic. This one appears to be made out of some sort of vinyl-based plastic that allows it to flex. Waste of money, can't return now as I no longer have the original packaging. Very unhappy.
