I was considering buying this jug over other similar less expensive ones. But I really liked the design, so I decided to spend some money and get this one. When I received it, I felt like it was worth spending the few extra dollars. It's beautiful to look at, fits on the top shelf of my fridge and the lid is fantastic. I love that it just opens when you pour and closes when you put it on the table. The mouth was wide enough to be easily cleaned. I used it solely for making iced tea and it withstood the boiling hot water I poured into it. Unfortunately, I've only been using it for a few weeks. It broke the first time it slipped out of my hand while washing. It didn't fall far - I held it over the kitchen sink and rinsed it out. I really, really liked it, but I probably won't buy a replacement as it seems too flimsy for my clumsy self.
