Like but dislike doing longer seams with eco/biodegradable bags in humid conditions

Love it! It's easy to use! My only issue is that the biodegradable compostable bags that I bought separately don't like it when used in wet mode. The longer the cable I need for these packages, the more problems I have with it. I believe this is because these bags are a bit thinner and less stiff than regular plastic bags and when I need a longer seal the bags tend to warp a bit in the machine. There is a 50/50 chance that the inner seal will be wiped out and/or the packaging will just keep being turned over to try and make it work, but not always. With these bags I have to plan to seal them on the shorter side or just use a dry seal or a wet seal and then quickly reverse the process and then press the seal button to make it work, but I wouldn't try my luck that way doing a wet seal with something completely filled with liquids without knowing if it will ruin the car or not. I'm not sure why the two different sealing options don't work the same on this bag, but they just do. I had no problem at all with the dry setting after learning how to use this machine which was quick and easy! I didn't have the same problem with the bags that the car came with as I did with the biodegradable bags. However, I didn't use this machine with the intention of using it with regular sealed plastic bags that pollute the planet with lots of plastic, so it's a bit inconvenient when dealing with this problem (make sure the vacuum sealed bags are on are the shorter side). or cut packets smaller) for trying to be better for the environment. So it works with these bags (Vesta Eco bags) but it just doesn't want to work with much compaction only on the 'humidity' setting, but that's more of a bag problem than a machine problem. I also REALLY like the smooth internal buttons with the simple hidden touchscreen, but after wiping it a few times I find that even a light touch scratches it easily. I keep mine in a box to keep them in new condition because, well, kids! lol! .. but I'm still curious to see how long the top will stay in new condition when just a few gentle wipes can leave light scratches on it. Also, silver isn't stainless steel, it's gray plastic in case anyone is wondering. My kitchen is stainless steel and black so I went with that color but if I knew it was just hard gray plastic I would just go with black but that's just my personal opinion on the matter. Looks and feels good and strong so it looks like it will last.
