I have replaced 8 120w BR40 filament bulbs in a large room. I wanted to switch to LED bulbs because there are a lot of them, and 8 bulbs of 120 watts each is 960 watts in constant use. 8 LED bulbs of 17W each consume only 136W, which will save me a lot of energy. Also, 120-watt lightbulbs were becoming increasingly difficult to find as they burned out over time. It was important to me and my wife that the new LED lamps that will replace incandescent lamps be very similar in color and just as bright. After reading many reviews, I decided on these Sunco LED lamps. My wife and I are very happy with these bulbs and they have done exactly what we hoped they would. The color is perfect for incandescent bulbs and they are slightly brighter than incandescent bulbs. We already had a dimmer that we used and it works great with the new LED bulbs. It was just an old rotary dimmer, but it dimmed the bulbs from full brightness to almost off. These LED bulbs from Sunco Lighting were really great for what we needed. If you want to do what I described above, this should work fine for you.
