The wax has melted on the braces, too soft.

This wax is too thin and too soft. It literally melted into every crevice of my braces and I had to use a straight needle to dig it out. Not even cleaning would have removed it. Buy a harder wax, even if you have to soften it with your fingers, it's worth it.
