One year before broke

I've been a huge Arlo fan for several years. I have cameras, lights, and a doorbell cam throughout the house, and I have an Arlo Q inside. Five stars everywhere, including the lights, up until this week. But this week I think I've hit the headlight obsolescence target. One year of service and then Kaput. I spent over an hour with tech support who helped me with all the troubleshooting steps I've already gone through. Conclusion: The warranty period has expired, too bad. SOL.Arlo offered me a discount on a spotlight. But even with the discount, I'd be spending another $200 on something I don't really need. I only need light and Arlo no longer turns on light. The short lifespan highlights other issues with the Arlo flashlight. For example, short battery life means pulling out a ladder every few months to change batteries. Although I have solar panels on each of my external cameras, buying solar panels for each of my lights would be overkill. Panel costs more than light. Another big issue, the lights require a separate bridge, they don't work with the Arlo base station. Lack of integration and disparate technologies make setup and maintenance difficult. In the end, my dissatisfaction is perhaps debatable. Arlo no longer makes Arlo lights, they don't even show it on their website. So the units available through Revain are old stocks of dead products.
