Review on πŸ–₯️ Aeon Stands and Mounts 40200: Premium Full Motion TV Wall Mount with 28" Extension (Black) by Kimberly Polcher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked great for my application

We just moved into a new house and wanted to put our TV in an integrated entertainment center (GF). The only problem was that the EC was built for an old 36" CRT system (and is an embedded system) and we have a 55" TCL LCD. The EU is well done and if it was an Ikea center I'd happily tear it down to watch Netflix. The main problem (or so I thought) was that the back panel and therefore the jambs were 26 inches from the front (doors) of the EC. This kit was (at the time (August 2020)) the highest. 28 inch articulating arm TV mount system available on Amazon. When I received the mounting kit (and looked at the location of the EC mount and bolts for the first time) I noticed that there was a gap between the drywall and the back of the EC. The lugs were pushed back even further than I expected and I was at my 28 inch limit. I read several reviews and found that lag screws are not suitable for this application. I went to the store and bought the largest studs that go through the bracket. Even with a 1" gap between the back of the EC and the rack/wall, the mount held up. Installing the TV was a one man job for me (the TV weighs less than 30 pounds) and was fairly easy to do. I rocked the fully installed TV up and down on the mount a few times and it lasted almost a month. The staggered mounting option was great for me as the 16" center studs were on the right of the EC and the center of the EC hole was on the left. It would be a 5 star system if they didn't make the lags cheaper. . The mount itself is very heavy and durable. With this kit, the supplied screws are the weak points. My application differs due to the 1" gap between the drywall and the back of the EC - although it should work with my setup, it should work with yours.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
