This is a great basic set for home brewing. I brewed the Block Party Amber Ale that came with the package and it exceeded my expectations. delicious! A few notes: Buy extra sanitizer as it only comes with 1 gallon. I had expected CO2 to bubble out of the lock during fermentation. After a week I didn't think it was fermenting as there were no bubbles so I added another batch of yeast I bought at a local beer store. I now understand that since the bucket is not sealed with a gasket, the bucket allows gas to escape around the edges, hence there is no bubble activity. Also, don't bother opening bottled beers after a week. Give it at least 2 weeks to fill up, even if it's hard to wait. The finished product is great and could even get better in the coming weeks if it lasts that long. I poured about 50 bottles (12 ounces). Enjoy!
