I ordered this spatula to use with my new Lodge wok. The shovel shape is perfect for scooping and turning vegetables in the wok. I'm not saying that I'm as good at the technique as those professionals in the Chinese restaurants, but I sure feel like it with this! It's about 3 1/4" wide at the end, and scoops up a lot of rice and veggies. Nothing falls off the edges like with a flat spatula. The handle is about 10" long, which is just right for the wok. No burnt hands or arms.I really gave it a work out last night. This didn't burn (very hot wok), it didn't scratch, didn't crack or warp. This spatula is a "get what you pay for" item, and you really get quality here. I use a lot of cast iron fry pans too, so I'm going to buy the utensil set. No more of those cheap wooden tools for me. These may not make my food taste any better, but it sure will make me feel like a professional chef. Good quality long lasting kitchen tools, get them, you will be very impressed, and glad you did.
