picks and offers a very close fitting mortise. I can highly recommend Yonico bits. If using these stakes with a hand or bench router, be sure to either adjust the height of each stake with a caliper/micrometer to ensure the surfaces of your counterparts are flush. Also because these connections are very close. need some glue. If I use more than one pea glue (or black bean glue) per linear foot, I get a little off the seam. like a pea sized drop in a groove and a cotton swab to spread it over the groove. With softer woods, cracks can appear along the fibers. I typically spend about 5 minutes adjusting the height of my router from my router table. If I can drive the bits to within five thousand inches of my wood, I can turn the piece halfway through the cut and still have a very nice fit. Crossing
