Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Pack of 5pcs Gikfun Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Thermal Probe Temperature Sensor for Arduino - EK1083 by Wayne Ohlrogge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Professional fit and finish! A perfect 1/4 " probe fits into the RO T-fitting. Attention!

They will stick to any t-shirt with a suitable adhesive. Using Starbond Toughened Medium Thick CA. for low pressure needed but once over 20psi I had to glue it in as it is set at 65psi in the system 1/8 inch I have in the water flow so it lags the water temp by about 3-5 degrees but when accounted for or If the temperature is over a period of time, the temperature will match other thermometers, including the Fluke thermocouple, to within 1ยฐF. 10-bit is best as 8-bit microcontrollers are not as accurate except in one critical application This is related to the Dallas OneWire sensor, not the sensor or cable attached to it This is t a VERY high quality and professional grade flex cable with a weatherproof end on the metal probe side that is protected against pulling. I only crimped the JST connectors to the wires for portability as I glued some into RO monitor tees. The lack of a plug is a plus as it lets you use what you need. Out of the box, the wires are tinned and stiff enough to plug directly into a microcontroller breadboard. Use with both PIC32 and Arduino and no problem.

Pros
  • Temperature and humidity
Cons
  • Slightly torn
