Very bright All options work. I can't say anything about the battery life yet. I estimate it's around 3 hours like similar products. I'm also concerned about their "water resistance". They will resist getting water on them. If a USB port is left plugged in, it's not that easy to secure and it's a matter of time to find out how well it stays (I don't think it will last long or wear out). This device really has a lot of advantages for the price: Very bright. The strap holds securely. The brackets make it easy to direct the light in the right direction. The device seems to stay in the holder without any problems. All of my experience with these devices relates to various paved surfaces. I didn't ride the trail with them.
