This ice cube tray takes a little trial and error, but once you get the hang of it the cubes come out beautifully on the tap, but I've found I get the best cubes with my water if I use filtered water out a Brita mug. Placement in your freezer also makes a difference. Placing it in a freezer vent or surrounding it with frozen food will cover the top of the cube with ice chips. I figured it would be best to place it on a spacious shelf with nothing near the top or sides of the tray. The dice that come out of this tray are great, but you need to plan ahead a bit. These cubes take 18-22 hours to make, but if you miss the 18 hour mark the silicone is quite difficult to remove. No matter what, I've never been able to "just pull the tabs" to remove the silicone shell. I had to either let them sit for 20 minutes or lift the edges of the silicone and run hot water underneath to loosen them. This is especially useful if you wait longer than 24 hours and your cubes turn into a giant block of solid ice. I really enjoy using the True Cube Tray. The ice looks great every time and it's noticeably better for my drinks and doesn't make them watery. I'm definitely happy with this purchase as I've been able to master cube making.
