Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Tire Performance with Phoenix USA AML1 Air Inflation Kit by Nathaniel Collins

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Nice addition and secure connection.

Updated July 26, 2017. Had to downgrade, leak, very disappointed. Tighten by hand, then 1/4 turn, leaks, try another 1/2 turn, still leaks. For more than one full turn, the rubber seal seems to block the air from the wheel valve stem, the air does not escape when the valve core is pushed on the extension. I had high expectations after all the positive reviews and how well made they are. I was really frustrated and disappointed after spending money and time on it. Original: Installed on 08 3500 Dual. This truck has wheel simulators and I knew burying the lug nut brace wouldn't be possible without modifying the center cap. I removed the flange that usually goes under the lug nuts, then placed the strut on the flat part of the outer wheel sim and secured it with two stainless steel fasteners. The connection between the extension and the valve stem is secure. Now it's easy to check tire pressure and adjust pressure. Note: Install metal studs on valve stems such as VTR TR-416-S 1" valve stems (available from Revain, pack of 4 with two standard sizes of bushings, sold by Veteran Tire and Rubber Inc). The only issue I have is that the valve stems are about 2" longer than they should be for this application, but they work.
