This is a lighted SPST switch. The negative/black/ground connection is only needed if you want the internal LED to glow when the switch is ON, otherwise the two pins are open when off and connected when on. It doesn't get much easier than that. The seller even included diagrams. Not rocket science people. Works great for what should be in a good panel. Bam bam done.
