Large capacity for my needs. Heats up quickly and holds temperature well with minimal heating cycles. The outside heats up and rises towards the top (the heat rises). When I first put my old 7018 (2lb) bars in the oven and set the temperature to 360 degrees, after about an hour I lifted the lid to check and water droplets were dripping down. My bars got wet going into the oven! You may have to throw them up. I found it difficult to pull out the rod holder and let the rods fly in all directions. I made a simple modification by adding a cage (with 1/2" metal mesh and a flex brake) to hold the bars. See attached photos. This is a work in progress as the cage rises when the holder I need to try 1/4" hardware fabric to minimize the top of the rods getting stuck in the holes in the fabric. I also need to figure out how to attach the cage to the bottom of the holder so it stays still and doesn't move without changing the shape, fit and function of the stove. So far I am very happy with the rod oven and am confident that it will not pose a fire hazard if left on overnight.
