This is a nice smooth heavyweight watercolor paper that works very well. I tested different types of watercolor on it - several colors from the DaVinci line and several colors from Daniel Smith. The paper retained the vibrant color of the ink and did an excellent job of granulating the colors. It worked particularly well with Daniel Smith's earth colors (the fissile purple hematite did an excellent job on this paper). "matte", muted earthy pigments - on a heat press. I'm definitely looking forward to painting on it which I've never felt before on a hot press paper simply because I've never been able to keep the color brilliance on any heat press I've tried (Arches, Fabriano etc. ) d) Highly recommended.
