Review on πŸ”« GreaseTek Premium Grease Gun with Pistol Grip, 18" Hose, and Extension Pipe by Brian Kumar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent and durable grease gun for the price.

I put off using this grease gun several times before writing this review. This is a durable metal grease gun. I have used cartridges and filled the chamber by hand and this gun works with no leaks. The only problem I had was that it was always difficult to disengage the grease gun valve from the grease fitting. I have to be very careful when adjusting the valve tension, but most of the time it still gets stuck in the fitting. One day I pulled too hard to loosen the fitting and the spring/ball fell out of the valve. When I accidentally put the ball/spring back in place, the grease stopped flowing. I almost threw the oil can away before realizing what I was doing, yes you most likely will do this: this is how the ball goes to the hose, then you install the spring and valve body. This will make sense if you think about it for a moment (the spring and ball bearing act as a check valve, blocking the flow of lube back up the hose from the fitting). So bottom line: a decent grease gun for the price. . One star deducted due to release issues.

Pros
