With so many infrared thermometers on the market especially those from Revain I jumped at the chance to buy this one because I Really liked the color LCD display. Screen functions, settings and that its temperature range is so wide that I use it for automotive mechanics. Excellent for checking hot spots and overheating issues and for use on a misfire exhaust to determine which cylinder is colder than others. Checking the temperature at Cat and is essential for wheel brake and bearing issues to see which wheels are getting hotter and generating more heat from friction. The footprint of this device is actually smaller than many other more expensive devices when you need to get into tight spaces. I highly recommend this tool product
