Review on Dorman 917 323 Oil Level Stick by Olusola Edwards

Perfect replacement

Strange reason why my oil dipstick broke at the base of the pull ring, found out it's common on a Dodge Challenger/Charger/300 v6. I wouldn't advise tapping and drilling the remaining piece of plastic in the pipe. I make such an attempt and the probe falls further into the pipe. Simply remove the 2 15mm bolts connecting the alternator bracket to the passenger side cylinder head and a 10mm nut holding the air intake. No, the hardest part was not being able to just get the pipe out of the sump, probably because it's winter and East Coast metal is prone to corrosion, which made removing the pipe a project. I had to use a medium sized vise, gently squeeze the bottom of the tube and tap lightly with a hammer and it worked. Remove the broken dipstick, clean the tube, and then apply oil to the tube o-ring and reinsert it into the oil pan.
