As the name suggests, I have a 2010 MacBook Pro. I upgraded the hard drive and memory and replaced the battery. What I couldn't do is update Bluetooth from version 2.1 to 4.0. Version 2.1 kept crashing when using newer devices, it was so annoying. They don't release an updated Bluetooth 4.0 board for my mid-2010 Macbook. When I connected to the original Bluetooth 2.1 version, the transmission range was very limited and if I moved the laptop a little, it fell out. I decided to try the Hideez USB Bluetooth Adapter. It's like having a new computer. Bluetooth is so strong that I can walk to another room without dropping out. It lacks setup instructions, to say the least, but once you set it up you'll be glad you bought this little device. I can't say enough good things about the product. At one point I thought about buying a new laptop because bluetooth was so bad this little device saved me thousands of dollars.
